Welcome to the Northeast Region Staff Team Page
Hi Canine Companions for Independence Supporters,
The Northeast Region Staff is virtually walking in the New Jersey DogFest on ((DATE)) because we love dogs, and we believe in Canine Companions for Independence and their mission to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to the event, we are raising money to support Canine Companions. The impact they make on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help us get to our fundraising goal by donating online. As we reach our fundraising goals we will be posting pictures of dogs in professional training.
Our first goal is $1,000. Once we reach this goal we will post a "First Day of School" picture for each dog in professional training.
The second goal is $2,000. We will post a "Yummy Yummy Nom Noms" picture of each dog in professional training getting a special treat once this goal is reached.
Once we reach our final goal of $3,000, we will post a "Surprise Video" of all the dogs in professional training.
If you do the giving, we’ll do the walking and picture taking so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions assistance dogs into the lives of those who need them.
Thanks for your support and stay tuned for our fundraising activities!

Canine Companions for Independence Trainer for a Day!
Have you ever wondered what the trainers at Canine Companions for Independence at the Northeast Region do all day??? Now is your chance to find out! To help raise funds to meet our NJ DogFest goal, the Northeast Staff have decided to offer an opportunity for you and one guest to be a “trainer for a day”. Minors must be over the age of 16 and accompanied by an adult to participate.
The day (9am-4pm) will include:
-An overnight stay in a dorm room (a $100 deposit will be required and returned upon check-out. Transportation cost not included)
-Shadowing several NER trainers
-Hands-on opportunities to help train and groom dogs in training
-Lunch (12pm-1pm) with Canine Companions Staff
-Snuggling with a puppy!
Opportunities to win can be acquired by Clicking the “Donate Here” button above and reading the fine print below!
***Additionally you will need to contact Amanda Otteni at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive your Lucky Numbers!***
Each opportunity to win will cost $10. An individual may purchase as many opportunities as they like! Donations should be made on the Northeast Region Staff Team Page: http://support.cci.org/site/TR?px=1194211&fr_id=1610&pg=personal . After donating the entrant must contact Amanda Otteni by email to receive their assigned lucky numbers (One lucky number per $10 donation). All entries must be received by 10/4/18. The winning lucky number will be chosen at random by a dog in Professional training. This opportunity is only redeemable at the Miller Family Campus in Medford, NY. If winner happens to be a puppy raiser of a dog in Professional Training at the Northeast center the raiser will have to postpone the opportunity until the dog is no longer on campus. A mutually agreeable date will be chosen and coordinated with the dorm caretaker. Winner must be willing to sign liability and confidentiality waivers.
