Cruise to College
Dear Family and Freinds,
I’m volunteering at DogFest on October 27, because I love dogs, and I believe in Canine Companions for Independence and their mission to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge. The money raised helps canine companions BREED, RAISE and TRAIN these incredible service dogs to assist with so much. These incredible dogs HELP PEOPLE with disabilities gain more independence to returning soldiers with PTSD, court room support for victims, dogs for children, even dogs in hospitals!
These special dogs need our help, and any donation you feel you can make, helps to make a difference in these peoples lives!
YOLA is college bound (enters professional training Aug 9). I will join other dogs and their owners for a day of fun, festivities, graduate speakers, dog demonstrations, a beer and wine booth proceeds benefit CCI too!
The event is on Oct 27, 11am-5pm in Jack London Square in Oakland down on the waterfront!
Leading up to the event, we’re raising money to support Canine Companions. I’ve seen first hand the impact these highly trained dogs can make in the lives of people with disabilities, it truly is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online.
If you do the giving, I’ll do the walking so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions assistance dogs into the lives of those who need them.
Thanks for your support! Karen and Yola!
