Get to know me!
Hi! My name is Brittany. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working in Indiana. I have the privilege of working with a variety of typical students and students with disabilities. I am currently in the process of earning a facility service dog through Canine Companions for Independence! I am so excited about that opportunity for my students! A CCI facility service dog works in my school district. I am amazed by all of the support that she provides for many students with disabilities including bringing typical peers and peers with disabilities together, providing comfort, encouraging socialization, fostering relationship building, and motivating students. All of these incredible benefits in addition to 40 learned commands including turning light switches, opening doors, and picking up dropped items.
I am fundraising because I believe in Canine Companions for Independence and their mission to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible contribution. Your gift will help open more doors for people with disabilities. Every dollar counts! Together, we can change lives four paws at a times.
