Did you know?
Each Canine Companions assistance dog is specially matched with a person with a disability. The connection and bond that the team has is incredible! These dogs not only open doors, pick up dropped items and turn on light switches, they provide greater independence and an amazing life-time partnership.
Help me make more matches! I am fundraising because I believe in Canine Companions for Independence and their mission to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Rinko and I started volunteer puppy raising in July, 2017 and we pick up our first Canine Companion Puppy in Training, Lee V. Since then I've been an active participant and volunteer for the Canine Companions for Independence organization by raising awareness at different events and info sessions. I've had the pleasure of meeting not only other puppy raisers, but also breeder-caretakers, and graduates. Its indeed a hearwarming and positive community! The more I am involved the more I want to contribute.
So this year I hope to raise money while also participating in the annual US Masters Swimming One-Hour Postal Swim in January 2019. You can donate a single amount for the entire swim, or donate per length or yard swum. In one hour I hope to swim 4400 yds, or 176 lengths!
Your gift will help open more doors for people with disabilities. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible contribution. Every dollar counts! Together, we can change lives four paws at a times.
